Under Normal Circumstances....

As Ivy reached the doors of Chaux Electrique, she turned expectantly toward the street behind her, as if waiting for someone. When no one appeared, she shrugged her shoulders and shifted into a sleek vampire dressed all in black with gently curling auburn hair. After pulling out a compact mirror and making sure her appearance satisfied her, she started walking gracefully to wards the doors of what promised to be a fun night. When she was stopped by a formidable looking vampire she sighed sighed and pulled a plastic card from her purse. After examining it, the man stepped aside and she walked through.

Inside the nightclub, Ivy headed straight for the bar. After ordering herself a martini, she sat and waited coyly on one of the stools closest to the exit. When a tall, dark, AND handsome vampire strolled over to talk to her, she took her gaze off of the various messages on the walls and half-smiled at him, waiting for him to talk to her.

Talk to her he did, and almost instantly she realized that though he was tall, dark and handsome, brain power was something he lacked. Making a lame excuse she slipped into the ladies room until she was sure he was gone.

When she ventured out again, she noticed that a group of humans were relentlessly tormenting a lesser fairy that had wandered in by mistake. Furious, Ivy stalked over to them and grabbed two of the miscreants by an ears, and glowered at the rest. "Have you no shame?" she hissed, "This poor thing did you no harm, the only thing that could possibly be your excuse for this- this behavior is the girl's race. Give her to me. NOW!"

with the fairy cradled in her hands, she walked to the exit. While she walked she whispered, "There there, I've got you." When she reached the exit, she let the fairy go and returned to her original seat in the club.

Mirrie looked at herself in the bathroom mirror. Her eyes were done up grayish, making them look even darker than they actually were. Bottomless. She shuddered and down at the somewhat slinky black dress that clung to her thin body. 'Makes me look skinny,' she thought, though all her clothes had a similar effect. She gave the mirror a quick glance on her way out of the bathroom, letting her fingers feather over the doorway as she went.

The air was warm outside. Still and humid it hung around her like a blanket, but it seemed to get fainter as she moved closer to Chaux Electrique. She had taken up Ivy's offer after all. Mirrie sighed. In all honesty she had no no initial intentions of accompanying her friend to the club. As much as she enjoyed the places, and crashing private parties, she was a bit nervous about doing it there. She'd heard the bouncers could be feisty, and she had no idea who the employers were for this occasion. It seemed entirely possible that this was a business event, hosted by hoity vampires or the like. Vampires sounded bad enough, and 'the like' sent anxious waves down the pixie's spine.

Electrique's signature pulsating light spilled out onto the street, sending dim shadows into the darkness. Mirrie peered into the empty alleyway, looking for the back door she hoped to find unlocked. She crept forward, cautious of the x factor. Of course, she made it uninterrupted to the door, which was naturally unlocked. Most likely so for busy employees to get in and out. Thankfully she did not run into any of them.

Bass rumbled in Mirrie's lungs as she smoothed out her dress. Her eyes darted around the room, looking for one of Ivy's forms. She had no idea which the sprite may have chosen, though she was familiar with many. Her eyes fell upon a red haired vampire woman heading towards the door she had just came in through. In her pale hands was cradled a small lesser fairy, who looked a bit traumatized. "Ivy!" she said, flooding with relief. "I made it."

When Ivy heard "Ivy! I made it." she turned and saw Mirrie. When she got to her side she said, "Finally, I had to fend off wild idiots until you got here." Ivy looked at Mirrie gravely and said, "I might not have done as goo a job as you would have, but I tried. If you saw me holding that fairy girl, that was one group's work."

Shaking off that experience, Ivy took Mirrie's hands in hers and said, "Enough about me, what took you so long to get here?"
